Thomas Alexander Cabbagestalk

THOMAS ALEXANDER CABBAGESTALK was born on February 9, 1975, to the late James and Minnie Lee Cabbagestalk. He was educated in the Kershaw County School District and graduated from Camden High School in 1993.

From an early age, Thomas had a passion for football. He played the sport throughout his youth and high school years, where he developed into a standout athlete whose talent and dedication were admired by many.

Thomas will be remembered for his generous heart, unwavering honesty, and strong work ethic. He freely gave of his time and resources and was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever he was needed. To the younger members of his family, he was more than an uncle—he was a trusted mentor, protector, and big brother. He shared an especially close bond with his nieces and nephews, and his relationship with his beloved nephew and "adopted son," Tre, was one of profound love, guidance, and devotion.

Known for his calm spirit and warm, welcoming personality, Thomas led by example. He showed grace, kindness, and unconditional love without judgment, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He also found great joy in bringing family together through his cooking, creating meals that reflected the love he had for those around him.

During his working years, Thomas built a reputation as a dedicated and dependable employee. He worked as a forklift operator and later served as a night supervisor, earning the respect of his coworkers through his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to doing his job well. Whether at work or in his personal life, Thomas approached every responsibility with integrity and determination.

Thomas valued his faith and found comfort in worship. He faithfully participated in virtual worship services, staying connected to God’s Word and drawing strength and encouragement from his faith.

An avid sports fan, Thomas proudly stood by his beloved Dallas Cowboys—even in a family full of Cowboys critics. He was also a devoted fan of the New York Knicks and the Atlanta Braves, faithfully cheering on his favorite teams through every season. Thomas leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, strength, and quiet compassion that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

He will be forever loved, forever cherished, and forever missed. Thomas is survived by six siblings: Janice Cabbagestalk, of Camden, South Carolina, Carrie Cabbagestalk, of Antioch, Tennessee, Deborah Cabbagestalk of Camden, South Carolina, Althea (Alvin) Belton, of Waveland, Mississippi, Anthony (Crystal) Cabbagestalk of White Plains, Maryland, and Corey Cabbagestalk, of Camden, South Carolina. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
