Samuel T Watkins

Mr. Samuel Timothy Watkins entered eternal life Friday, December 22, 2023 in Camden, South Carolina.

He was the son of the late Charlie and Ruby James Watkins.

Mr. Watkins received his early religious training at Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Kirkwood and attended the public schools of Kershaw County.

Mr. Watkins was employed by Dupont (Invista) as a Spinner/Tuber for many years. He also was employed by J J’s Flower & Gift Shop for many years. He also worked privately for Malissa Young for 27 years until his health began to fail. Mallissa states that his love and passion for her yard was amazing. Sam loved tending to her yard, and he owned every right! Mr. Watkins was an avid handyman with a passion for yards and flowers.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories: one son Mr. Eric Salmond of Lexington, Kentucky and one daughter Ms. Letra Burkett of Charlotte, North Carolina. Grandchildren and Great grands. Six brothers: Darrell Sadler (Mary); Antione Sadler (Wendy); Julius Sadler all of Charlotte; Richard Sadler of Monroe; Karl Sadler of Rock Hill and Taiwan Sadler (Angel) of Dallas, NC. Three sisters: Gerri Lewis (Melvin); Sherri Sadler and Stacy Arnold (Larry) all of Charlotte, NC. Two dear friends Deborah Fletcher of Kirkwood and Malissa Young of Rochester, New York and a host of family and friends.
