Nathaniel Williams, Sr

Nathaniel Williams, Sr, 87, was born on September 3, 1935, in Anderson, South Carolina to the late Doyle and Sula Mae Williams.

Nathaniel received his early education in the Anderson County public schools. He received Christ at an early age and worshipped in the Baptist church. He was joined in holy matrimony to the former Joann Rodgers from Columbia, South Carolina. From this union, five children were born.

Nathaniel found joy in cooking and worked as a chef. He was employed by East Orange General Hospital for over twenty years until he retired. Following this retirement, he decided to go to work for an additional ten years at Orange Memorial Hospital as a chef.

Nathaniel enjoyed working and spending time at home. He had a love for family and worked hard to provide for them.

Nathaniel was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Rodgers Williams; daughter, Kathy Williams; sister, Vernell Lawson and brother-in-law, Arnold Lawson.

Those left to cherish his memory includes his children, Nathaniel Williams, Jr, Gail Williams, Stanley Williams, Anthony Williams, and Terrance Williams; three grandchildren, Antwaun Williams, Mandina Williams and Nafi Williams; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
