Mattie (Gripper) Qualls

Mrs. Mattie Gripper Qualls, beloved daughter of the late Mr. Willie “Boo Boo” Gripper, Sr., and Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Gripper, was born on November 18, 1964. Mattie worked and retired from the Dorn Veterans Affairs Hospital in Columbia, SC. She was preceded in death by a brother, Willie “Boosie” Lee Gripper, Jr. Mattie leaves to cherish precious memories and celebrate her home going: her children; Markita Q. Johnson, Fennis Qualls, and Makia Qualls; a granddaughter, Maya E. Johnson; son-in-law, Alvin T. Johnson, Jr.; two sisters, Donetta G. Brown and Jacqueline Gripper and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
