John Wesley Heflin, Jr

John Wesley Heflin, Jr., 77, the son of the late John Wesley Heflin,Sr. And Ora Lee Haile Heflin was born on April 8, 1947 in Bethune, South Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on January 17, 2024.

“June”, as he was affectionately known, was educated in the Kershaw County School District. He graduated from Carver Elementary School in Bethune, South Carolina and Jackson High School in Camden, South Carolina. June attended Denmark Technical College in Denmark, South Carolina.
Following his studies at Denmark Technical College, June worked at the Kendall Company in Bethune,South Carolina, Skyline Manufacturing in Camden, South Carolina, and Smalls Food Center in Kershaw, South Carolina. He retired from Smalls Food Center after a decline in his health.

As a young teenager he attended Mill Creek Baptist Church where his dad was the Sunday School Superintendent and his mother was the Sunday School teacher. He always was a classy dresser. June owned many classic cars which was one of his greatest loves. He also loved his family and friends.
June was a dedicated, loving, and caring father. He was loved and respected by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memories include his children, Jestine Andrews (Bennie) of Dalzell, South Carolina, Larry Heflin of Raleigh, North Carolina, Dexter Heflin (Karen) of Summerville, South Carolina, John Heflin of Bethune, South Carolina, Mark Heflin of Atlanta, Georgia, Adonia Smith-Heflin, Columbia, South Carolina, and a special daughter Robin Keith (Dr.Edward) of Camden, South Carolina; his special caregivers Joyce and Brian Thompson of Bethune, South Carolina; grandchildren, Anissa Robinson of Sumter, South Carolina, Brandon Shaw (Joni) of San Diego,California ,Danielle S. Miller of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Candice Heflin of Columbia, South Carolina, Marques Heflin (Jeanette Dema-Heflin ) of Warner Robins, Georgia Brooke Andrews of Dalzell, South Carolina, Davon Cohen (Jasmine) of Columbia, South Carolina, Treyvon James- Heflin, Destiney Heflin, Thailand Heflin of Columbia, South Carolina, and Destiny Heflin of Columbia South Carolina; Great-grandchildren, Aiden Mungo of Dalzell, South Carolina, Journey Lewis of Columbia, South Carolina, Amari Heflin of Warner Robins, Georgia, Nala Shaw of San Diego, California; special grandchildren, Quintressa (Wahid) Dennis of Mauldin, South Carolina, Karvela (Travis) Lempesis of Columbia, South Carolina, Kayla (Corey) Earvin of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, Morgan (Noah) Chait of Pacific Palisades, California; special Great-grandchildren, Brittany Outlaw, and Brett Outlaw of Summerville, South Carolina, Omari Dennis of Mauldin, South Carolina, Brön M.
