On Thursday, April 10, 2025, our world changed forever. A man we believed would be with us still has now gone home. We always knew this day would come, though our hearts had hoped it never would. We spent our last days sharing memories and love. God knew you were tired, and your fighting was done. Your warrior spirit needed rest: we prayed and thanked God because you passed your test. Henry, the memories and fun times will always be in our hearts. You are in God’s care now, and the troubles of this world have been left far behind.
God’s angels descended and summoned Christopher Henry Hayes. Born in Kershaw County on February 20, 1948, he was the son of the late Christopher Hayes and Rena ‘Sis’ Hayes. After completion of his military duties, Henry was employed with Southern Bell for many years, until his retirement. Henry was an avid golfer who loved to travel and meet people.
