Mrs. Flossie B. Williams was born on October 11, 1935, in Lugoff, South Carolina to the late Carrie Jefferson Blanding. The youngest of seven children. She departed her life on July 22, 2026.
She received her education in the public schools of Lugoff, South Carolina. She met and married the late Nathaniel Williams in 1956, then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where she raised her five children. She was employed by and retired from Charlotte Pipe and Foundry after 25 years. She was a member of Clinton Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church where she served on the usher board and hospitality committee for many years until her failing health. She received many awards and recognition for outstanding leadership and dedicated service.
She is preceded in death by her mother and six siblings; one grandson; and three great-grands.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories of her five children Annie Logan of Augusta, Georgia, Frank Williams (Paula) of Sumter, South Carolina, Gail Blyther (JL), of Bishopville, South Carolina, Sandra Forney (Warren) of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Ella Williams of Charlotte, North Carolina; 21 grandchildren, a host of great grands, great-great grands, nieces, nephews, and cousins; three step children, Louise Hart of Charlotte, North Carolina, Herbert Williams of O'hau, Hawaii, and Brenell White, of Fortworth. Texas; Special daughters, Mattie Williams, Gloristine Williams, Dot White; special son Elder David Brintley, and special granddaughter, Kristal Brooks.
