Daisy Brevard Caulley

July 10, 1929 — February 8, 2026

Camden

Daisy Belle Caulley, 96 years old, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2026. She was the wife of the late Clarence Caulley. She was the daughter of the late Elliott Brevard, Sr, and Louise Robinson Brevard. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1947.

After two years, she moved to Worcester, Massachusetts for a short while and then moved to Brooklyn, New York where she married her High School classmate. Her first job in New York was at Buckwell Shirt Factory sewing labels by hand. After returning to Camden, South Carolina, she became active in the church. She worked at Skyline and Jubilee Embroidery for many years. Before she retired, she was in the first group to be trained at Springdale Nursing Home as a Nurse assistant.

Daisy was a faithful and active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. In her earlier years, she was an usher, chairperson of Evangelism and on Pastor Parish Committee. In her later years she joined the senior citizens group. She cherished the fellowship. She loved the Lord and if you couldn’t talk about the Lord, she didn’t have much to say. Always quiet with a smile and greeted everyone with a smile whether she knew you or not.

She was a beautiful person and loved her family dearly. She loved crafts, sewing, reading, and most of all walking and getting on her treadmill. Daisy was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her five children, Wilbur Caulley of Hamden, Connecticut, Edwin Caulley (Deborah) of West Haven, Connecticut, Marilyn Isaac (Fred) of Camden, South Carolina, Angela Askew of Norwalk, Connecticut, and Amanda Shular of Stratford Connecticut; Ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mary Brown (Bill) of West Babylon, New York, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Clarence Caulley; sisters, Hattie Poole, and Ella Williams; brother, Elliott Brevard Jr, and her parents Elliott and Louise Brevard.

We will always remember her big smile, her kindness, her huge heart, and her ability to uplift others with an encouraging word.
