Countess Yvette Lewis, 68, passed away Saturday May 31, 2025. She was born August 11, 1956 in Oneonta, Alabama to Johnnye Mae Britt and the late Isiah Lewis. Countess was the stepdaughter of the late George R. Britt. She is affectionately known as Yvette.

Countess was educated at public schools in Stamford, CT. She earned an associate degree in business administration from Strayer University in Wash. DC. She worked at Olin Corporation in Stamford and Lexus of Greenwich, CT. Countess was a member of Union Baptist Church in Stamford.

Upon relocating to Lugoff, SC she became a member of Gaines Baptist Church in Camden SC. She worked in different industries prior to retirement. Countess loved her family, cooking, eating crab legs, modeling and fashion. She enjoyed dancing and having fun with family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Johnnye Mae Britt, sisters Sandra D. Lewis, Monica Lewis Hobbs (David), brother, Andre Hamby, stepsisters, Andrea Britt Cole and Brenda Mack, nieces Whitney Joseph and Andrea D. Britt, nephew Keith Britt, a loving aunt Betty J. Richardson. Special friends Eleanor Cunningham and Frances Atkins and a host of cousins.
