Sally (Stover) Turner

January 31, 1939 — June 28, 2019

Sally Stover Turner was born on January 31, 1939 to Eddie Stover,Sr and Cornelia Loynes Stover.

She departed this earthly life on June 28, 2019 at Prisma Health Baptist as she accepted her offer of total healing from the Lord.

Sally attended and graduated from Jackson High School. She worked at Diana's retail store for several years. She worked at Joseph Dental Clinic for 55 years. She was one of the first African American Certified Dental Assistants in the state with certifications from the American Dental Association.

Sally never met a stranger. She loved genuinely and was "all in". Those who knew her genuinely appreciated her tough love. Sally accepted Jesus Christ at an early age, but went as far as to confirm her identity with Christ in 2017.

Sally was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church and was very active up until her failing health. She served as president of the Missionary Society, was active in Deaconess and Trustees wives ministry and usher board. She was a member of the Eastern Star composite #227.

Sally was swept off her feet by none other than Johnnie Frank Turner. They were married for 58 years. In this union, God blessed them with Shirley, Johnette and Johnny Jr.

She was preceded in death by both parents and two brothers, Murphy and Dan Stover.

Sally leaves behind to celebrate her legacy, her loving husband, Johnnie Frank; her children Shirley (Charles) Coleman of Hopkins, SC, Johnette (Gregory) Smith of Columbia, SC and Johnny Jr. (Vera) Turner of Camden, SC; her six grandchildren, Ashley S., Santherae, Christopher, Ashley T., Nia and Julian; and one great granddaughter Londyn; Sally's surviving siblings are Mary(Brodies) Stover, Della Peeples, Willie Mae(James) Newton, Lillie Benjamin, Geneva(Thomas) Williams, Eddie Stover Jr, Henry Stover, and Jimmy Stover; a host of loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sally has now joined that Great Cloud of Witnesses that will be cheering us on as we enter in.
