Mr. Ray Williams, son of Eloise Green Williams and the late David Williams, Sr. was born May 22, 1949 in Florence, South Carolina. He entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Kershaw Health in Camden, South Carolina. Mr. Williams was fondly known as "Doc" to family and friends. He graduated from Wilson High School in Florence, South Carolina in 1969. Relocating to Lugoff, South Carolina, he married the love of his life, Paulette and became a member of Unity United Methodist Church in Lugoff, South Carolina. He supported his church with his presence, finance, prayers. Ray served on the Usher Board, also for many years. He was employed at Bell South for over 35 years as a Tele-communications Technician. Ray loved his family, dog, Lucy and the Clemson Tigers. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Paulette Williams of 35 years. Those left to cherish his fond memories, grieve his passing and celebrate his home going are his Mother, Eloise Green Williams Lucas; children, Joyce (Jimmie) Williams and Todd (Pam) Davis; other children, Ashley (Willie) Carolina and Marcus "Scouter" Thompson; grandchildren, Todd A. Davis, Jr., Zachary I. Davis, Matthew S. Davis, Cameron Blanding and Londen Blanding; his siblings, David (Bessie) Williams, Dennis Williams, Frances Williams, Elnora "Toot" (Eddie) Holman and Florannae (Robert) King; sisters-in-law, Deborah (Ron) Felder, Karen (Dwight) Thompson, Patrick (Sherri) Carolina and Virginia Hudson; brother-in-law, Abraham (Rebecca) Carolina, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
