Jeremiah J'Von Windham

September 29, 1988 — May 25, 2021

On September 29, 1988, a singing star that would be called Jeremiah J’Von Windham was born to Renna Brown Windham and the late Jimmy Will Windham. He heard the Lord’s voice on May 25, 2021 calling him home to rest.

Jeremiah was educated in the public schools of Lee county and Kershaw county. He attended North Central High School and would transfer back to Lee county where he became a graduate of Lee Central High School. He went on to attend the Art Institute of Atlanta where he studied music. Jeremiah had a love for family and would return home to care for his grandmother. He was employed as a truck driver with Waste Management in Columbia, South Carolina. His passion and love was music. Jeremiah would sing at any event including funerals and church service. He attended Mt. Calvary Holiness in his youth and as he got older, he would attend service at the Father’s House Ministry in Florence, South Carolina under the direction of Carrie Simmons Champagne. Later, he would attend Restoration Temple under the leadership of Pastor Linda Blair and Bishop Bernard Jenkins.

Jeremiah was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Will Windham; grandparents, Harvey and Mary Windham, Annie Bell Williams, Thomas and Jacqueline Clark.

Those left to cherish his memories include his mother, Renna Windham of the home; sister, Brenda (Corey) Addison of Raeford, NC; three brothers, Antonio (Denita) Brown of Greer, SC, Jarrod Tension of Columbia, SC and Antwan Myers of Bishopville, SC; three nieces, Nigeria Myers, Karnasia Myers and Kori Addison; two nephews whom he held dear to his heart, Za’Corrion Addison and Antonio Brown, Jr; two God Mother’s, Lisa Johnson-Boyd and Stephanie Nelson; five God-children, Javarious Prescott, Kwanna Jennings, Keviona Jennings, ZyNasia Samuel, and Adonis Brown; four cousins that he loved like brothers, Eric Cloud, Terrance Norris, Dontae Thomas and Chad Thomas; three God-sisters, Angie Tailsford, Felecia Johnson and Stacy Johnson; God-brother, Stevie (Renata) Johnson; ten aunts; two uncles; four great-aunts, Cora Burris, Irene Green, Sarah Rivers and Betty Ann Wilson; four great-uncles, James M. Brown, Bobby Clark, Barry (Maximina) Clark, and George (Earnestine) Clark; honorary grandmother, Mary L. Johnson; a host of cousins and friends.
