James Lee Kirkland

James Lee Kirkland departed this life peacefully on September 29, 2022. He was a son of the late John C. and Cora Kirkland, Sr.
In his youth, he attended Kershaw county schools. He moved to New York at an early age. Upon his retirement, he returned home to South Carolina and made Lee county his home.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Almina Alexander, John C Kirkland Jr., and Lewis Kirkland.
James leaves to cherish his life's memories, two sons, Kelly Reid of New Zealand and Jemal Kirkland of Philadelphia, PA; three siblings, Rosa Mae Lassiter of Philadelphia, PA, Charles Kirkland of Philadelphia, PA and Carolyn Washington of Englewood, NJ; a host grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and an "adopted son", Leroy Robinson, whom he affectionately called, "Good Buddy."
