Hazle Charles Thomas

Mr. Hazle Charles Thomas, known to family and friends as "Rat" departed this life on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at his home in Camden, South Carolina.   Born in Boykin, South Carolina on May 12, 1953 to Ms. Mae Bell Thomas.  At an early age, he attended the Good Hope United Methodist Church.  Hazle graduated from the public schools of Kershaw County. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1973 to 1977 at which time he was honorably discharged. Hazle worked as a plumber for many years in the Camden and surrounding areas. He was proceeded in death by his mother, Ms. Mae Bell Thomas; two sisters Thomasena Thomas and Carolyn "Debra" Yvonne Thomas and two brothers, Edward "Ricky" Thomas and Joseph "Joe" Thomas. Those left to cherish his fond memories, grieve his passing and celebrate his home going are his wife, Mrs. Doris Massenburg Thomas of Atlanta, Georgia; a daughter, Mrs. Nikita Wells (Alvin) of Dallas, Georgia; four grandchildren; two aunts, Mrs. Willie Mae Thomas of Camden, South Carolina and Mrs. Margaret Thomas of Virginia Beach, Virginia and other relatives and caring friends. In Appreciation The family of the late Mr. Hazle "Rat" Charles Thomas gratefully acknowledges the many acts of kindness and other warm expressions of sympathy extended to them during their bereavement.  Special heartfelt thanks to Rev. Dr. P.L. Griffin and the Sanders Creek Baptist Church family, trustee Andy Robinson, the Lyles family, Mrs. Geneva Brunson and family, Mr. C.C.
