Eric Eugene Jones

Mr. Eric Eugene Jones entered into eternal life at Providence Hospital and Heart Institute in Columbia, SC on Tuesday April 26, 2016.   Born in Camden, South Carolina on Friday September 27, 1963, he was the son of Ms. Daisy Sue Jones and the late Joseph Noble Hayes.  Eric received Christ at an early age, being baptized at St. Paul United Methodist Church, where he attended Sunday School, Youth Ministries and performed duties as an Acolyte; as well as, being a Boy Scout. Mr. Eric Jones was a graduate of Camden High School Class of 1981.  After graduation, he completed his education at Spartanburg Methodist Junior College in Spartanburg, SC and Baptist College in Charleston, SC.  He became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity while attending Baptist College (now Charleston Southern University). At the time of his illness, Eric was employed by DuPont Cooper Plant in Charleston, SC.  Eric was cherished and loved by all who knew him.  He always had a smile on his face and expressed many acts of kindness to others. Those left to cherish his fond memories and celebrate his life are his mother, Daisy Sue Jones; his wife, Felicia Jones of Summerville, SC; two daughters, Ashley Jones of Summerville, SC and Jasmine Jones of Goose Creek, SC; three sons, Quetin Jones of Goose Creek, SC, Demetrius Jones and Eric Jones, Jr. of North Charleston, SC; two grandchildren, Kamoni Baker and Kamaree Baker of Summerville, SC; two sisters, Michele Jones of Plainfield, NJ and Sherrone Jones of Lawrenceville, GA; six aunts, Mary Ashley of Roselle, NJ, Helen Chapman of New York, NY, Laurie Chapman, Rachel Johnson, Rita Robinson, Lucille Allen of Camden, SC; two uncles, Jeffrey Chapman of Bishopville, SC and Johnnie Jones, III of New Jersey, mother-in-law, Azille Hodges of Bamberg, SC; three sister-in-laws, Victoria Baskin of Virginia Beach, VA, Linda Mahmoud and Brenda Singleton of Bamberg, SC; two special friends, Robert "Bob" Gary and Janie "Poochie" Jackson-McClinton of Camden, SC and a host of nieces; nephews, cousins, and beloved friends who will greatly miss his presence.
