Corey Terrell Foster

Today, we have come together to bid a fond and loving farewell to our son, brother, grandchild, uncle, nephew, cousin and close friend. Corey Terrell Foster was born, October 27, 1970 to Mary Kirkland Foster and George Foster.  At six years old, he acquired a loving and devoted father, Samuel Johnson, after he and Mary joined in holy matrimony in 1977. The family became cohesive and loving! Corey enjoyed watching sports, cooking, dancing and singing karaoke. He was a graduate of Newfield High School in Manhattan, New York with a Regents diploma. He played soccer and football while in high school. Corey had a loving spirit. He loved his family and was kind to everyone he knew. The love of his life was his Mom and Best Friend. Christmas was Corey's favorite holiday. Those left to cherish his fond memories are his Mother, Mary Y. Johnson; stepfather, Samuel Johnson; brother, Robert Foster; nephew, Sean A. Foster; Niece, Brooke L. Foster-Shepard; two grandmothers, Ruth Kirkland and Mabel Johnson; several uncles, aunts and numerous cousins and friends. Corey was preceded in death by a sister, Marlene D. Foster-Shephard; father, George R. Foster, grandfathers, Broadus Kirkland, George Foster and Charles Johnson and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He will be sorely missed and yet always remembered as a gentle Giant.
