Carolyn Fowler

August 20, 1966 — April 29, 2018

Carolyn Fowler, 51, of Camden, South Carolina, entered into rest surrounded by family April 29, 2018 at her home. She was born in Camden, South Carolina to the late John Cantey, Sr and Helen "Monkey" Anderson.

She completed her education in the Kershaw County Public school system and graduated from Camden High School. Following graduation, she met and married the late Jerry "Bill Boy" Fowler. In her youth, she was a member of Zion Hill AME Zion Church and would later transfer her membership to Belmont Baptist Church. She served as president of the Pastors Aid Committee and she worked as an usher. She was a faithful Christian that was committed to her church until her health failed.

Carolyn had a great love for family and friends. She loved to dance to "Biker Shuffler", Mary J. Blige and "Now Hold It". She enjoyed her family time with her boys. Carolyn also enjoyed spending time with her coworkers and running her "daycare" with attendees Tristan "BooBoo" Green and Bryson "NuNu" Anderson. When she wasn't spending time with family and friends, she enjoyed watching her soap operas and Tyler Perry. Carolyn worked in manufacturing for a number of years.

Those that are left to cherish her memories include, children, Jarvis "Fat Baby" Fowler of Rock Hill, South Carolina and Jeremy "Mickey Mouse" Fowler of Camden, South Carolina; special daughter, April Thompson; Siblings, Barbara Jean Thompson of Camden, South Carolina, Alana Howard of New Jersey, Nathan T. Anderson of Georgia, Ronnie Truesdale of Chicago, Illinois, Dorethia "Dody" (Spencer) Rutledge of Jacksonville, Florida, Loretta (Henry) Long of Ridgeway, South Carolina, and Lois Anderson of Camden, South Carolina; Godsons, Travon Truesdale, Ronald Truesdale, Jr and Marcus Robinson; special nephew, Maurice Anderson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, she was preceded in death by sisters Marie Anderson and Jacquelyn Anderson and brother John C. Cantey, Jr.
