June 14, 1935 ~ January 6, 2019 (age 83)

HENRY JOHNSON WAS BORN JUNE 14,1935 TO THE LATE CALEB M JOHNSON AND QUEENIE B JOHNSON IN BLYTHEWOOD, SC AKA TOOKIE DOO.

ON SUNDAY JANUARY 6, 2019 GOD IN HIS INFINITE WISDOM, CALLED TO REST FROM HIS EARTHLY LABORS, OUR BELOVED HENRY.

HENRY, AT THE AGE OF TWENTY-THREE, MARRIED ONE OF THE FLEMING TWINS, LILA M FLEMING AND FROM THAT UNION FOUR CHILDREN WERE BORN, HAROLD, VICKY, GLORIA AND HAMEEN. HENRY ALSO HAVE FIVE OTHER CHILDREN RICKY GREEN, MCKINLEY BROWN, CURTIS SPEIGHTS, HOWARD HAYES AND WENDY MCMILLAN.

HENRY WAS EMPLOYED FOR A SHORT STAND FOR GALAXY BOAT COMPANY, THEREAFTER HE WAS EMPLOYED TWENTY-SIX YEARS FOR CAROLINA CERAMICS FROM WHICH HE RETIRED JUNE 2000, AFTER RETIREMENT HENRY BECAME A FULL-TIME ENTREPRENEUR, “ HENRY’S LANDSCAPING”, A BUSINESS HE ALWAYS HAD A PASSION TO DO AND DID SO EVEN WHILE WORKING HIS FULL-TIME JOB.

HENRY ACCEPTED JESUS CHRIST ON JUNE 13, 2004 AND BECAME A FAITHFUL MEMBER OF GREEN HILL BAPTIST CHURCH UNTIL HIS HEALTH CONSTRICTED HIS ABILITY TO CONTINUE.

HENRY WAS A PEOPLE PERSON AND WAS FONDLY KNOWN AS “PISTOL”, NICKNAME GIVEN BY HIS DAD WHEN HE WAS JUST A BABE; LATER THE NICKNAME “SHOTGUN” FORMED , GIVEN BY FRIENDS, THESE NICKNAMES FOLLOWED HIM THROUGH THE YEARS.

HENRY WAS GIFTED WITH A GIANT HEART, EACH YEAR HE PLANTED GARDENS AT DIFFERENT LOCATIONS, OF THESE GARDENS HE WOULD GIVE MAJORITY OF HIS CROPS AWAY.

HENRY DEPARTED THIS WORLD TO BE JOINED WITH HIS WIFE LILA M JOHNSON; TWO SONS HAROLD JOHNSON AND CURTIS SPEIGHTS, MOTHER, FATHER, SISTERS, BROTHERS AND HIS MAKER THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

HENRY’S SMILE AND KIND HEARTEDNESS WILL LIVE ON THROUGH HIS CHILDREN RICKY , MCKINLEY, HOWARD, VICKY, GLORIA (ALVIN MCCOY SR), HAMEEN AND WENDY (KEYMON); GRAND-CHILDREN J’VON SMITH, LAQUANDA JOHNSON, KIMBERLY JOHNSON (GLEN), DEIDRA SMITH, QUINCY JOHNSON, DAIOTIS TUCKER, ALVIN MCCOY JR, AL-JUMU JOHNSON, DEZRONE TUCKER AND TEN GREAT-GRANDS; BROTHERS CALEB (ELLA), LEROY AND ERVIN(BRENDA); SISTERS MARY LEE, ALBERTA LAWHORNE (WOODROW) AND MARGUERITE BROWN (WOODROW); ONE BROTHER-IN-LAW AND FIVE SISTER-IN-LAWS; A HOST OF NIECES AND NEPHEWS AND LOVING FRIENDS.
