Mr. Wilbur Roscoe Jackson, also known as Hawk, was born in Blackstone, Virginia on July 6, 1938 to Wilbur Jackson and Naomi Wynn Jackson.
Wilbur joined the United States Navy and went on to serve during the Korean war. In June of 1961, he met Ellen Robinson and they were married for 51 years until her death.
Wilbur was always the life of the party. He never met a stranger and made everyone welcome. Wilbur retired from Pocoma Farms as a caretaker.
Those left to cherish Wilbur's memory include two daughters, Gloria Jean Williams and Janie "Poochie" McClinton; two sons, Anthony McLeod and Edward Jackson; 12 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; six step daughters; three step sons; 34 step grandchildren; 34 step great grandchildren; three step great great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Anderson and Ruth Williams; three sister in laws; a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, four sisters, three brothers.
